A Loch Tay loop day trip with several stops to choose from – in order driving route clockwise.
Thru Aberfeldy (independent shops, cafes, Dewars distillery) and Kenmore the village of Achan awaits with a cracking walk to the Falls of Achan. Continuing down the south side of Loch Tay takes you to Killin and the Falls of Dochart plus the secret garden – key can be obtained from the local shop.
After Killin the route takes you over the spectacular Ben Lawers road, past the Ben Lawers Hydro Dam and down to Bridge of Balgie – great coffee shop here.
The route then takes you through Weem and onto the Strathtay road. Along here is Cluny Gardens where the red squirrels can be seen and fed.
Continuing on thru Pitnacree the Loch Tay Loop route then returns back at Cuil an Daraich Guest House.
